Surround Sound is a vocal jazz sextet dedicated to celebrating the art of a cappella performance. Blending six distinct voices into one cohesive ensemble, the group brings a modern sensibility to the timeless tradition of vocal jazz.

In 2025, Surround Sound was honored with the DownBeat Student Music Award for Best Undergraduate Small Vocal Group, recognizing their excellence in musicianship, innovation, and ensemble artistry. The ensemble was also invited to perform at the 2026 Jazz Education Network (JEN) Conference, one of the foremost gatherings of jazz artists and educators worldwide.

Their repertoire features standards and contemporary arrangements that highlight both individual expression and collective precision.
